Event Description

This is the 25th Year of the South Alabama Karate Open, one of the finest karate tournaments in the south. Last year representative from twenty one dojos participated.
To add something to last year, this year we will add two Youth Kyu Kata Grand Championships, pitting the winners of all 10 and under, and all 11 to 17 kyu rank kata and weapons winners against each other for the Grands.
As in the past Black Belt Grand Champions will be awarded for: Youth Black Belt Kata/Weapons – Adult Black Belt Kata/Weapons – Women’s Black Belt Kumite – Men’s Black Belt Kumite. We will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies for all divisions.
Registration at the door is $60 – Preregistration is $55 – Spectators is $5.
